Peter Spégel is a senior lecturer in Analytical Chemistry at Lund University. He has a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from 2000 and a PhD degree in Technical Analytical Chemistry from 2007, both at Lund University. In 2012 he became docent in clinical sciences. His research has mainly focused on the study of metabolic diseases using mass spectrometry-based metabolomic. Since a few years back he also conducts research on the development of techniques and methods for analysis of technical lignin by means of chromatographic and mass spectrometry-based techniques and methodologies for analysis of the resulting complex data.
